Kelly Wozencroft - Independent Practitioner

Educational and Developmental Psychologist and Supervisor

Kelly has been providing supervision services for the past 4 years. Kelly is an experienced Educational and Development Psychologist based in Ipswich, Queensland. If you ask Kelly what her favourite part about being a psychologist, she’ll tell you the same things she tells the kids, teens and young adults she works with: She has the best job in the world! Kelly enjoys matching and creating a therapy approach that is unique to the client’s personality, interests, and strengths.

Portrait of Senior Woman

To develop a tailored therapy approach and treatment plan, she explore functions/triggers for behaviour and emotions from a variety of lenses such as attachment, experiences, values, sensory, environment, etc.

She has experience with a range of assessments and therapy modalities in the following areas:

• Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder
• Oppositional Defiant Disorder
• Female Asperger’s
• Specific phobias
• Anxiety
• Depression / Risk assessment
• Developmental Delays

• Adjustment (e.g. grief and loss, parent/carer separation, relocating, etc)

Kelly is very passionate about working within the paediatric space and with young people. Kelly would like to support supervisees with gaining a full understanding of what is going on for the person from a variety of lenses (e.g. attachment, environment, relationships, beliefs, sensory, resources, assessments, etc) in order to tailor intervention/assessments. Kelly also likes to ensure that supervisees are delivering information professionally but also in a way the individual can understand.

Kelly has work experience providing psychological services within primary schools, with intake/triage and risk assessments. She has worked primarily in private practice with clients across the lifespan. Kelly’s predominate strength is with clients in the age range of 0-25, but can also provide supervision for adults who present with a developmental disorder or general presentations of anxiety, depression, parenting, and general stress.

Kelly is trained in the following therapies:

• CBT
• DBT
• ACT
• Interpersonal Therapy
• Interactive Metronome
• DIR-Floor Time
